A POSITIVE VOICE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE HYDE PARK ESTATE

Local organisations

This page contains details and links to other local organisations. Let us know if we’ve missed any.

HyPER works closely with the Citizens Advice Westminster (CAW), who, as well as providing a wide variety of advice to residents, also offer a range of volunteering opportunities for local residents who are able to volunteer for 1 or 2 days a week both from home, from the office near Paddington and community locations across Westminster. Opportunities range from training as a Gateway Assessor, providing information, signposting and advice to local residents by phone and at outreach locations, to vacancies for specialists in HR (as a Trustee), communications, research and digital.

Hyde Park Paddington Neighbourhood Forum
Our local Neighbourhood Forum takes a wider interest across a larger geographic area and broader interest groups including businesses and the local Business Improvement Districts. It can also nominate projects for funding with Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy. Membership is free for local residents and we do recommend joining.

St John’s Church
St John’s is our local Church of England church in the heart of the Estate. It runs an excellent series of events throughout the year, suitable for everyone from committed Christians to the simply curious, as well as more general community events such as the Community Concert.

Friends of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens
The Friends of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens (FHPKG) was formed to ensure that the voice of public users of the Parks is heard. As well as receiving lots of news and updates about the Parks, members benefit from discounts in and around the Parks, in addition to being able to attend interesting and unique events.

Age UK Westminster
Age UK Westminster is an independent local charity that is part of the Age UK movement. Age UK Westminster exists to promote the well-being of older people in the City of Westminster and help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience within our local community.
