A neighbourhood plan is being developed for the Hyde Park Estate, which will inform how the area will be developed over the coming years. You are invited to have your say!
The plan will affect primarily development in the local area and will provide guidance for planning applications. More generally it will also provide a high level vision of the area and how it should change over time.
The plan is being developed by the Hyde Park Paddington Neighbourhood Forum and is now open for consultation.
The current vision for the plan aims to:
- Improve accessibility and permeability for active travel
- Create a cleaner and greener neighbourhood
- Encourage sustainable development while protecting the area’s character
- Preserve and enhance green and blue assets and valued public spaces
- Attract customers to retail and commercial hubs
- Safe and welcoming neighbourhood for all
- Celebrate the rich culture and built heritage
