Over the last few weeks we’ve been contacted by lots of members concerned about the future of the Duke of Kendal pub. Its future is critical, being at the heart of the Hyde Park Estate and community.
We’re pleased to announce 2 pieces of good news:
- After being nominated by HyPER, the pub has been added to Westminster Council’s list of Assets of Community Value. Although this does not provide direct protection, it is nonetheless a material consideration for any future planning applications or change of use.
- The Church Commissioners have announced today that after a recent legal process the pub is now on the market for a new pub operator. They rightly say that this is “an exciting opportunity to revitalise that important corner”.
