Have your say on the future of our local high streets

How do you think Sussex Place could be improved?

Westminster Council has commenced a new High Streets Programme. This aims to support and revitalise Westminster’s high streets, making them more resilient, vibrant, and diverse, as well as ensuring a balance of spaces, amenities, and services for the local community.

The programme will begin by focusing on a cluster of high streets around Paddington and Bayswater, including Connaught Village, Sussex Place, Praed Street and Edgware Road.

This is your opportunity to tell the council what places you like / dislike, how you feel about your local high streets, and to share suggestions on how they can be improved.

Initially views will be gathered from those who live, work and shop in the area. You can give your opinion either online, or for some areas, at a pop-up engagement hub.

What do you think would make our high streets better and give them life for many years to come? Would you like to see more greening of the areas? Would you like to see more or less seating and places to rest? Perhaps you feel that traffic could be managed better or road safety improved? What about transport connections to the areas? Or maybe different types of shops should be encouraged?

To make a comment online please visit the Paddington and Bayswater consultation website. The website also contains details of the pop-up events which are taking place for Edgware Road, Praed Street and Queensway / Westbourne Grove between 27th June and 15th July.
